Roseville Pottery, Apple Blossom Blue Double Handled Vase~~
For Sale I have a Lovely piece of pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is "Apple Blossom" and the shape is a Tall Vase. It is done in the most popular Blue Background Glaze. The Vase Stands 8 1/4" tall and is 5 3/8" in diameter at the top of the vessel. The Vase depicts twigs of Apple Blossoms in Full Bloom and there are 2 twig style handles to complete the look. The backgound on this very Lovely Vase is Blue and the Blossoms are a creamy white with soft green leaves. The pattern is repeated on both sides of the Vase with one side showing unopened buds in the bottom cluster. The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The only issue to report is some crazing. This is common with this pattern and its glazes. The Piece is signed with the Raised Relief Roseville U.S.A. Mark along with its mold mark 385-8". There is also a letter "T" and number "3" written in a Blue Grease Pencil. These are more than likely the finishers mark. The Glaze Colors are bright and Vivid as is the Crispness of the Mold. I'm quite sure the lucky buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. This Vase was made Circa 1948.
