For Sale I have a very hard to find pattern made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Windsor" and it is done in the ever Popular Arts and Crafts Mottled Orange/Brown background Glaze. The Form is a "Double Handle Vase". The Vase measures 5 1/4" tall and is4 7/8" in diameter. The Vase depicts a very pleasing Mottled Orange/Brown background Glaze that is accented with Thin Buttress Style Strap Handles that come out of the shoulder and come back in and rest on the waist of the vessel. It has Three Decorated Leaves with a stem on the Front and Back sides. The Glaze blends from a Terra Cotta into a dark brown satin matte glaze. The leaves have a very soft satin matte green over glaze. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is unsigned and more than likely had Black or Silver Paper label. These usually fell off over time from cleaning them. This vase is known as shape number 545-5" in The Roseville Pottery Catalog Pages. Those of you who collect Brown Windsor and want an excellent example both in form and glaze should look no further. This Vase will definitely enhance any Art Pottery Collection. This vase was made circa 1931.
