A rare antique figural thumb latch handle in cast bronze, dating from the late 1800s. This oversized thumb latch handle features an incredible design of scrolling foliates and figural dolphins, the handle is ornamented with a floral design. Dolphins were considered to be a symbol of protection and guidance . This exterior handle measures 18-1/2 tall, 3-7/8 wide and has a 3-3/8" projection.
