An incredibly detailed piece of what should be Imperial Satsuma. This is a very large piece with the detailing of one of the finest minature pieces of Satsuma you will ever find. Hard to photo but the raised white background on the floor is actually divided into floor tiles that rise off the face of the vase by 1/8'' or so. The detail and diapering is unbelievable for such a large piece. This is masterpiece grade Satsuma. The photos in no way do justice to the piece and in person it is a study in detail. Circa 1900 and Meiji in origin. Very minor chip on footrim in its only fault. A showpiece for the highest grade Satsuma collection in the world.
