Once dry, the flax was rippled to remove the valuable seed heads. Some of the seed was set aside for planting next year and the rest was pressed for linseed oil. This rare flax ripple measures 16 1/2 inches high and 11 1/4 wide made entirely of wood with a lovely patina.Would make a very unusual wall hanging. Condition is very good relative to age.
