Antique seal, used for stamping sealing wax on letters etc. The brass handle is very Victorian. Once this may have been coated in silver plate, but now none remains. The seal itself is an intaglio of the letter "C" in gothic script. Whole item measures 76 mm long, and 20 mm wide. The seal (which can be unscrewed) measures 18 mm diameter. Very good original condition.
