Early 20th century opera glasses - the binocular action is in good order, and they are still functioning and adjustable. Dark browny-black leather covering the barrels of each lens. The case is charming: shaped, made in leather with a pretty brass catch. Pink silk lining (faded inside the lid, but vibrant in the bottom of the case). Leather needs feeding, but is sill intact with golding tooling around the inside rim of the case. Stamped on the centre bar is “12 lens”. Whole item measures 7 cm high by 12.5 cm wide and 6cm deep. Some minor paint chips to the black, very good condition overall considering age.
