Antique bone needle case, in the shape of a furled umbrella. Originally a souvenir, it has "A present from Margate" and a little floral decoration painted on it. There is also a Stanhope peep in the handle, but the picture is absent. Handle unscrews to reveal the needle storage. Item measures 11 cm long and 1 cm diameter. Excellent condition. Circa late 1800s to very early 1900s.
