Pretty porcelain shaving mug - self embossed body with floral pattern of raspberry fruits and flowers. Little white dots highlights. Gilded flashings. (Why is it that shaving mugs are invariably floral and pretty - not at all what one might expect a man to like. I suppose they were probably bought by the wife). Anyway, this one has a blind hairline inside the top area. Apart from this, it is in very good condition. Late 19th century. No maker's marks, just a painter's mark under the base. measures 11 cm high and 15.5 cm handle to spout.
