Ebony, Brass, and Ivory Quadrant. Ivory fixed scale with monogram SBR (Spencer, Brown & Rust)and graduations etched in script. Ivory name plate labeled J.Bassnett, Liverpool. Ivory pencil holder in center brace. Overall lenth 12 and 3/4inches.
Legs, scale frame, and braces made of ebony. All hardware, including arm, fittings and peepsights are of brass. Has three light filters, one green, two red. Overall condition is excellent, with all lenses, fittings, and mirrors intact. Has single thumb screw stop having no fine adjustment which is an indicator of early time.
It is housed in an oak step-box case. Condition is very good with some cracking due to age. Inlaid brass block letters w/the name
