This item has been SOLD, From Northern India, an unusual and very fine, jade Jambiya hilt. Mounted on an iron tang which is adorned with gold foliated designs, are two thick jade plaques of fine quality. Carved in the graceful shape of a traditional Jambiya hilt and adorned with convex circles at the pommel area. The metal inlay has some wear and losses as noted in the attached images. The jade is in very good condition. ex: Butterfield and Butterfield, 1998. San Francisco. Late 18th C. Size 4.5" x 2.5"
