A heavy set man has fallen from the stools. One stool reads, "Antislavery Principle" the other "Cotton Interest." It is signed by John McLean. The second engraved cartoon is titled, "Contraband of War." It is of two African Americans. One is in farm clothing and one wears a Union cap and jacket. Both are bare footed.
