circa: 2000 width: 68 height: 30.75 length: 36 This English-made pedestal desk was recently crafted as a reproduction of a Georgian Period antique. The burl walnut displays a fine, distinct grain and rich complexion. Antiqued brass hardware, including swan neck style drop pulls and escutcheons, complements the walnut beautifully. The top of the desk features an inlaid writing surface of black leather, which looks incredible against the wood. On the client or guest side of the desk is a convenient writing slide with brass pulls, while this desk also comes with an optional modesty panel that can be secured to the desk by screws. There are a total of five standard drawers and two file cabinets that fit legal- and letter-sized files. Convenient casters hidden beneath the plinth base of the desk allow for easy movement, and being a pedestal desk, this desk disassembles into the top and two pedestals for shipping, storage and movement.
