Mayan culture, ca. 500 to 800 AD. Large white conch shell, carved with intricate incised decorations including mace-head forms at each projection. Rare to find fragments of ancient incised shells, so finding a complete example is exceedingly rare! 11"L, intact/excellent condition. The custom stand itself is a work of art.
