A very striking piece of ancient pottery! Hellenistic, Ca 3rd century BC, molded pottery mask of Silenos, a Satyr and all-around party animal! Loved women, wine and song (who doesn't?) With grapevines in his hair, long curly beard and wavy locks of hair. Remains of original white and black pigment. 5"H, in excellent condition, save single repair across top of head. Custom Stand.
