This is one of the finest ancient bronze weapons we have seen in several years. This massive (375 mm and 650 grams) bronze sword is from the Dong Son Culture in ancient Southeast Asia. It dates to circa 300 BC. The metal is very solid and stable. The environment of Southeast Asia as well as the alloy content of these types of bronze weapons makes it extraordinary to find one in this magnificent state of preservation. It is also one of the largest such daggers on record. If you collect bronze weapons or Dong Son culture items, this will surely be one of the most treasured pieces in your collection.
