Alphonse Legros, French, 1837-1911, etching. Legros was a very influential fonder of the etching revival in England. His work is best known for his delicate use of line and selective cross hatching to show his shadow areas. This etching, of which only 6 were created, measures 6 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches and is signed in pencil lower right.
