Circa 2000 8” wide by 10” high framed This is an exception framed artwork of an older native Hawaiian woman sitting in a chair. What makes this such a special piece is that it is hand painted with watercolors on silk fabric. The artist is Helen Larsen a Santa Rosa artist who was an art teacher in Hawaii and at Iowa State College In her younger days. She is listed as a member of the Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County and she describes her technique as liquid colors that flow and glide through the silk with an artistic hand and trust in the outcome. The colors are rich and deep.
