A charming oil on canvas, signed lower left C.T. Mitchell. The period frame size is 22" x 26". The scene is a soothing bridge over stream, surrounded by forest. There is a bit of paint loss or wear around the signature and there are 2 paint loss flecks (under right bridge post and over bridge right side about 4" up). The frame has a chip lower left. We believe this to be American, early 1900's. The frame has a H.H. Willes (Hartford, CT in business around 1900-1915)art store label. A pleasant affordable piece.
