About The Poster: This is a poster for John Huston's 1952 film "Moulin Rouge" which is an account of the famous french cabaret as the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec knew it. The image of the poster, although designed by Gaborit, is derived from Lautrec's poster for a show by Louise Weber, better known as La Goulue (and also the Queen of Montmartre), one of the venue's popular can-can dancers. The poster has been mounted on linen and is in very good condition.
