Made in China, a wood Balance medicine weight scale, hand carved, wood case, encased a thin & fine stick scale in light color, from around late 19 century. Very likely for weighing of small objects, in detail with cords and strings attached. It is engraved, and delicate, geometric light wood ring closure, metal finial. 14" long, 3" length, one inch finial. very good, aged, normal wear condition! it's a novelty object!
