Photos from a local estate, provided for study. Japanese, Meiji Period, (1868-1912) bronze vase. True to the esthetic of the period, the decoration celebrating nature. The somewhat baluster form body is encircled with larks at rest on branches, in relief. The body rests on four graceful fern fronds that extend to the base ring. The neck is adorned with grotesque handles and medallions of foliage. In excellent condition. H:14.5"X W:5"
