Large Canton enamel ewer, the helmet shaped body decorated in famille rose colors with scrolling foliage on a white ground, the lower portion modeled as a ribbed shell with each segment painted with red green & blue flower scrolls on a bright yellow ground, resting on a globular stem and domed foot, the tall handle terminating at the lip with a large butterfly painted to the otherwise plain interior.
Circa 1745.
