Chinese export teapot, of globular form with unusual foo dog finial, painted in underglaze blue with a Chinese river scene, including boats and figures on a bridge, with further figures in the large pavilion complex in the foreground, within a wide cell border, the rims and border enhanced with gold lines and a scallop and dot border.
Gilders marks of a triangle to the lid, P to the base,
the Chinese porcelain and pattern circa 1770, the gilt English and shortly after.
Condition: lid with section broken & re-stuck, finial re-stuck, crack to body, spout tip small chip
