Beautiful antique gilt bronze nude Diana artist inscribed A. Scysse and also marked Susse Fres Edt. Paris. We have seen a lot of beautiful renditions of Diana in varying hunting scenes. This one displays the beautiful gilt bronze nude Diana after a successful hunt. In her right had she holds the hunt horn in her left hand the leg of a slain deer. Looks like she'll be eating venison for quite a while. Diana is beautifully sculptured she is anatomically perfect and dates circa 1880-1900. Height 19-1/8 inches. Widest width at base 8-1/2 inches.
