Beautiful antique Art Nouveau winged nude fairy bronze artist signed F. Rosse. (Franz Rosse 1858-1900 is a listed European sculptor who specialized in bronze dancers and figures.) The sculpture depicts a beautiful winged nude fairy standing with life-size flowers, one growing along her back going right over her head. This is a lovely sculpture showing great detail and craftsmanship in the execution of this composition. I have seen this model before made into a lamp and missing a lot of the flower work. This is the first complete one I have seen. It rests on its original high quality specimen marble base. The condition is excellent with a lovely medium chocolate brown patina. The bronze measures 15-1/2 inches to the top of the tallest flower. This is the original marble base and is included in the height to the flower. Widest width from her left hand to her right hand 5-1/2 inches. Diameter at base 5 inches. Weight 5.75 lbs. You would have to look long and hard to find a more beautiful Art Nouveau bronze in better condition than this one. Guaranteed to please the most particular bronze collector. (Item #72518)
