Exquisite Daum Crystal Pate de Verre candleholder depicting a beautiful lady's sculptured face on each side. She is symbolic of Daphne who had her father turn her into a tree to avoid the pursuit of Apollo who loved her and wanted her as his wife. This beautiful candleholder depicts a gorgeous lady's face. The top are branches and leaves. The base are leaves and grapes. This is a unique Daum crystal Pate de Verre sculpture in excellent condition. This is a rare model made some time ago. We have never seen one before. The candleholder measures 10-1/2 inches from side to side. Height to the top section of the Pate de Verre is 7-1/4 inches. On either side of the sculpture are two gilt metal pins, they are very sharp and hold the candles in place. The colors are beautiful pastel lavenders and varying shades of green. The width at the base is 6 inches. The depth at base is 4 inches. Weight 4 lbs. Guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. (Item #72939)
