Brass "Japanese" Lantern. Brass and rose. Brass; cloth; wire. The bottom and top of the lantern are of hammered brass and are hand punched. Inside the base is a candle holder. The top has a cast brass handle with a hook for hanging. A hammered brass cover, with a knob, slide over a large circular opening in the top. A coiled wire frame expands and contracts the accordion pleated, oiled-cloth body of the lantern. the cloth is painted rose.
