Splint and Candle Holder. Black patina.. Wrought iron.. This hand wrought iron splint and candle holder retains most of its original black paint. The long, square center column fits into a hand formed, double bent tripod feet. The spring action split pincer is forged into the lower part of the column. It passes through an oval opening in the top cross piece. The opposite end of the cross piece is hammered into a candle socket.
