Gorgeous antique fireplace mantel, made entirely of marble and dating from the 1870's. The mantel features a delicately curved top, below which is a marvelous cartouche with a stylized anthemion. On either side of the cartouche are carved bracket-shape details. The mantel's legs feature a rounded beveled edge and come down to a squared-off base. The firebox opening is an elegant arch. This marble mantel measures 74" wide, 45" tall, and 10-1/4" deep, and has a firebox opening of approximately 37-3/4" wide (at the widest point) and 33-3/8" tall (at the tallest point).
