This statue is with our family from many generations, theverbal record says it came to our family in start of 16th century, everyfather conveyed it to the son and process keeps going. It’s a natural woodenstatue of Lord Ganesha and thedescription which my forefathers gives says that in around 1602 one of my forefatherswent to mahabalipuram and was introduced to a sage named Guru Parshurama, hewas very impressed by his service and the Vedic knowledge that while on hisreturn he offered him this ganesha statue as a gift and blessings afterperforming the rituals.
