French Vintage Vine Root Cork Screw
A natural work of art. A camel, a flamingo, a bird, a peacock it can look like many things to many eyes. One of the most fantastic pieces cherished by the Ternes Family Estate. The piece is a hand made wine or champagne corkscrew from the early 1900's . Written on the “ worm” and bearing the engravings Laurent Siret, Rochefort S/L France. The thick gnarled petrified wine root is coated with varnish or lacquer for preservation. The corkscrew runs all the way through the root and affixed with a brad on top. Also has the feel of petrified wood. A prized accessory for your bar or wine cellar. Measures 7”L X 5”H x 3”W Huge and it fits perfect in hand. The worm is 2 ½”
