For Sale is a bronze Desk Set Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is called a Pen Tray and it is done in Tiffany's Studios most sought after Acid Etched dark patina. This Pen Tray is part of the highly collected bronze "Zodiac" Desk Set Pattern. The Pen Tray stands 3/8" tall by 3 1/8" deep and is 10 1/8" wide.

The Pen Tray has the very desirable "Acid Etched with large Snowflakes" finish with a Craftsman Brown Patina. This is a real Collectors Choice in the Arts & Crafts Style decor. This is one of the most sought after and most Popular Patinas in the Tiffany Desk Set Patterns. The Pen Tray displays a pair of fish looking at each other on 1 end and a Scorpion on the other. These Zodiac Symbols are Pisces and Scorpio.

The Pen Tray is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no dents, or dings. This piece shows minor wear and staining on the inside bottom tray and this is pictured. The piece is signed on the bottom with "Tiffany Stvdios New York" Impressed Mark along with the Pattern Number 1000 for the Pen Tray shape. There are also the numbers "5622" lightly scratched along the pattern number.

Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 and the use of the letter "v" in Studio denotes this as an earlier piece. This Pen Tray was made circa 1902-1910. This is a quality bronze item in the Tiffany Desk Set Fancy Goods. The piece has a nice patina and is in excellent condition. I'm Sure the Buyer will be delighted with their purchase.
