Here is a crude, perfect example of a very scarce, LARGE, Danish modern glass carafe!
It was part of the Viking range (introduced in 1955) designed by Ole Winther for Holmegaard Glass. It was designed for a Danish wine company. The “CE” is the mark for Cherry Elsinore, a Danish cherry wine. Beautiful soft light teal color. About 9“ tall x 8“ wide and very heavy! This is not the more common variant with the Norseman’s head or the later version with the Viking head, but the very scarce early Cherry Elsinore variation.
THIS EXAMPLE IS CRUDE WITH WAVEY GLASS AND AN INTERNAL GLASS FOLD IN NECK, see photos. Perfect mint condition!
