A fine small barrel shaped Worcester Teapot decorated in the Gold Queens pattern with one panel painted in a rich ivory colour. The bright gold gilding and the addition of gradually decreasing sized dots adorning the handle and spout all point to this piece being decorated in the London workshops of James Giles. The Worcester factory gilding is usually honey in colour and not as vivid. There is a little wear to the gilding on the tip of the spout and one small area on the body to the right of the spout. A tiny kiln blemish and small flake to the ivory painting to the left of the spout. There is a very small glaze flake on the edge of the lid. There are no other chips, cracks or any restoration.
