C. 1906-1907 Very Nice English Sterling Silver Open Salt Cellar. It is marked with the anchor, lion passant and letter "g" for Birmingham 1906-1907. It has the maker's mark of "W.D." for William Deakin. This boat shaped salt has ribbed and fluted sides and sits on a oval base. It is 15/16" tall and is 2 7/8" X 2". Rare Sheffield Sterling Georgian Candlestick with Snuffer. This is STERLING. First time I have seen a Sheffield candle snuffer in sterling. Many marks on this piece. The base on the bottom side has a mark and on the top side is a crown and a monogram which is hard to make out. The snuffer has the same crown and monogram along with a mark. The bottom of the base also has a mark. This is a fantastic piece and the very first sterling sheffield piece I have ever seen. Fresh to the market. Just picked by a picker on the East Coast of America. He feels the vase where the candle goes in dates 1810-1811. John Roberts Company. The Snuffer he says dates 1816-1817 and the maker mark is not clear. Maybe Smith, Tate & Company. The diameter of the base is 6 1/2" X 5". The center vase/urn/candleholder height is 3 1/4" The snuffer itself is 3 1/2" in height. Condition is Good. Needs a Good Cleaning. This is definetely a important piece at a reasonable price.   « Less

Circa 1925 S. KIRK & SON, INC. Sterling Open Salt with matching spoon. This wonderful Kirk Sterling Open Salt with matching spoon is in the Baltimore Rose repousse pattern. Kirk was founded in 1815 and Baltimore was very well known for it's silversmiths. Scofield and Stieff were also of Baltimore and Stieff bought out Kirk in 1979. This fine repousse salt and mtching spoon are in Excellent Condition. The item # on the cellar is 2 and it also says Hand Decorated. The condition is Excellent with the cellar having a 1 pin dot ding, very tiny and only has normal light polishing scratches. The salt cellar is 2" in diameter and almost 1 4/10" tall. The matching spoon is 3 1/16ths" long.   « Less

Russian Silver and Enamel Open Salt with a Glass insert and a silver spoon. The salt is marked "IOMMET" on the bottom. ORIGIN: Soviet Era Russian Circa 1940-1950's. This piece features a silver holder that stands on three short legs. The sides are decorated with a green and ruby enamels against a silver background. It also has a fitted glass liner. It measures 1 1/4" in height and the diameter is 2 1/4" in width. This is a nice salt and in very good condition. Featured in Heacocks 5000 OPEN SALTS on page 101 Item 2026.   « Less
