Wood and brass Barograph no. 18050 by Short and Mason, circa 1920’s. These are sometimes referred to as a recording Barometer. It carries a serial number of 6-18050. The wood appears to be oak. The base measures 8.75” x 14.5” x 7.25” high with the glass case in position. The brass and wood are in superb condition with zero defects. The internal clockwork mechanism works well but naturally we can’t guarantee the accuracy. Comes with the key, ink bottle and two boxes of weekly charts. Carving on the finial is likely with monogram and Initial of K, French, floral motif. Overall about 14" long, considering 4" diameter. Mother of Pearl paneled into the handle among the metal decoration. Medallion ornate, chasing & etching. Overall in very good condition, slight normal wears considering the ages.
