Victorian, circa 1870 Minton Majolica rabbit and lettuce leaf compote, modeled as two white rabbits nestling amongst ferns and foliage supporting a turquoise, leaf shaped top. Three vent holes to underside with impressed ''MINTON'' maker''s mark. Good. No hairlines. No chips. Flake to lower base edge. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack to green leaves on one side of piece, and to side of one rabbit; some small glaze misses around the lower base edge. Circa 1910 WMF Figural centrepiece with maiden, boy and glass bowl. Features a naked boy and girl, entwined in a sheet. A tree winds around them. Ivy base with four feet. Impressed maker''s marks to reverse of one foot ''WMF'', ''EP'' (electroplated), ''I/O'' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and ''as'' (antique silver finish). The glass bowl has flowers and leaves etched around the sides, in the art nouveau style. Please note, the piece is quite heavy, weighing 5.4kg Base: Generally good. Usual wear. Split to stem of one twig. Some tarnishing. Bowl: One under rim chip. Very slight wear to the bowl interior. The join between the bowl and the base is strong enough for decorative purposes, but would need strengthening to support heavy objects. Please note, this piece will be shipped in two parts. Impressed maker''s marks ''GUSTAFSBERG'', ''82'' (date cipher) and ''F'' to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Flake to base, and one base corner. Slight wear to the top. Victorian, circa 1880 Holdcroft Majolica compote molded in the form of a putto merman/mermaid, seated on a bed of seaweed, supporting a large brown scallop shell above its head. Circular base with brown shell surround. Pink interior. Gray underside with three stilt marks. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. A flake to one shell on the base, and some small flakes to rim. Some wear to interior. Kiln effects: glaze pops to underside of large shell; some staining to putto body and face; glaze run down back from hair; some stray blue glaze spots and a glaze miss to shell interior. Repair to where the shell joins the stand, and to the smaller shell on top of the putto''s head. Restored rim chips. 7.5ins high   « Less

Brown gadrooned border around the rim, with studded bands outlining the panels and center. A hexagonal column forms the stand, with four griffins well modeled at the bottom. Circular base with fluted border around the edge. Green reverse. Maker''s mark impressed ''GUSTAFSBERG 84'' with an anchor inside the stand. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No flakes. Slight wear to the center. Kiln effects: several glaze pops around the rim; a piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the center. Surrounded by entwined yellow ribbon and ivy leaf border. Brown and yellow reticulated rim. Stand modeled with three rams heads around the top, and three feet with draping leaves at the base. Mottled reverse with stilt marks under the rim. Cream base with maker''s marks including impressed ''WEDGWOOD'', ''T'' and date cipher ''BGZ'' for 1871, and painted ''x''. Generally good. No hairlines. Minor flaking to one ram''s head. Slight wear to the rim. Kiln effect: two pieces of kiln dirt to the green center. Repair to re-join top to the base. Repair to the stand.
