During the 1940's, paden city did some private work for barth art glass using barth's molds. This pelican is one of those rare animals that was produced then. standing approximately 10" tall, the detail on the pelican is extremely good. He is crystal clear and other than a couple of the usual straw marks and some very minor shelf wear on the bottom, he's in great condition. Way cool!

New Martinsville Tiger Figurine / Bookend http://www.antiques.com/classified/39223/Antique-New-Martinsville-Tiger-Figurine---Bookend I believe this interesting piece probably dates to the 30's or 40's. It was produced by new martinsville who really made some beautiful quality figurines and bookends. this particular figurine was fashioned to represent a tiger. In my opinion it could be any of a number of the large cats, not just a tiger. It is a nice, heavy piece with very good detail and the glass is crystal clear. The base measures 5 7/8" in length and 3" in width while the overall height is approximately 6 1/2". Excellent condition.

American Bisque / Cardinal Pig Cookie Jar http://www.antiques.com/classified/39228/Antique-American-Bisque---Cardinal-Pig-Cookie-Jar Isn't this guy great? He's just the cutest thing! i believe this cookie jar is from the 1950's or so. He was produced by american bisque / cardinal and is whimsical in every way, from the expression on his face to the "go ahead make a pig of yourself" printed between his ears. this little piggy measures approximately 7 3/4" in height and 9" at the widest points. It is free of chips, but does have quite a bit of crazing and discoloration at the bottom, both inside and out. I have seen 3 or 4 of these particular cookie jars, and the crazing seems to be the norm with these as all i've seen have the same. He's still just cute as a bug and would look great in any kitchen!

Pair Of Cambridge Lion Bookends http://www.antiques.com/classified/39233/Antique-Pair-Of-Cambridge-Lion-Bookends This original pair of cambridge lion bookends are somewhat hard to find. The lion, who appears to be standing on a mound, is solid glass, while the base is hollow. With heads turned and mouths open, as if roaring, these majestic creatures are approximately 6" in height and 5" long at the base. Both are free of any nicks, chips or cracks and have incredible clarity. One of the bookends does have just a slight bit of roughness on one end of the base, but this seems to be a result of the molding process.

Set Of 6 Amber Murano Nappies W Silver Overlay http://www.antiques.com/classified/39265/Antique-Set-Of-6-Amber-Murano-Nappies-W-Silver-Overlay These are really interesting pieces! I've learned that these are murano glass, blown in the early 1950's. They were basically produced for the tourist trade after the war. The scene on the nappies, which is a light silver overlay, appears to depict a view from the sea of st. Mark's square in venice.Approximately 4 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" in height, these would be great for setting nuts or mints around the house when entertaining. They'd also be ideal for dipping sauces. The nappies are a rich, warm, almost honey amber color and all are in excellent condition. Very nice!

Pink Bud Vase With Gold Rose Decoration http://www.antiques.com/classified/39288/Antique-Pink-Bud-Vase-with-Gold-Rose-Decoration This listing is for a beautiful pink budvase with a gold rose decoration. The manufacturer of this vase is not known for certain, although it could be central's no. 1320/168, morgantown's no. 305 luana, or a tiffin blank. Most major glass companies during the depression era made bud vases that were very similar and sometimes they could only be accurately identified by the etching. I have not been able to verify the maker of the gold decoration on this vase, and in fact, many decorating companies such as lotus and wheeling bought blanks from the major glass companies, decorated them, and sold them with their label, making it very difficult to identify similar items such as this. The pink vase is 10" tall, with no chips, flakes, cracks, or fleabites. There is minor gold wear to the rim band and moderate gold wear to the band on the foot. The gold rose decoration is in very good condition. Unboxed weight for this item is 1/3 lb.Please contact bruce at solarbearz@gmail.Com to ask for exact shipping costs to your zip code, or if you have questions on this listing. Central Dunn's Parrot Amber Bud Vase Gold Encrusted http://www.antiques.com/classified/39289/Antique-Central-Dunn--s-Parrot-Amber-Bud-Vase--Gold-Encrusted This is one of my favorite hard-to-find etches, and the only reason this vase is being offered for sale is that i have one extra one! The dunn's parrot etch is one of the most elegant etchings done in the depression era, and very difficult to find, appearing on only a few glass items. The 10" tall amber bud vase is attributed to the central glass works and is probably their no. 13201/168 blank. Central closed in 1939 so that is the last possible production date for this etching. The parrot etching and decorative bower are gold encrusted, with no wear noted on the encrusted etch. There is minor gold wear on the rim and moderate gold wear on the foot band. The glass has no chips, flakes, cracks, or fleabites, and the glass is very clear. The book value for this item is $125. Set Of 8 Heisey Lafayette Etched Water Goblets http://www.antiques.com/classified/39312/Antique-Set-Of-8-Heisey-Lafayette-Etched-Water-Goblets Not only do i find heisey's #451 etch, lafayette, one of their most interesting designs, i absolutely love the carcassonne blank showcasing the etch.Lafayette features several different images associated with colonial times and was produced from 1930 to 1937. The #3390 carcassonne blank has a nice, large bowl, wafered stem and unique squared foot. The set of eight water goblets shown here have the taller of the stems produced in this line. They are approximately 6 3/8" in height and have an 11 ounce capacity. All of the goblets are in excellent condition with the exception of one which has a couple of very minor flea bites on the rim. I'm sure the one could be easily repaired if so chosen. This pattern is not readily found. The size and lower profile of these goblets make them ideal not only for water but for iced tea as well.

Tiffin 5-part Relish, Queen Astrid Etch http://www.antiques.com/classified/39317/Antique-Tiffin-5-Part-Relish--Queen-Astrid-Etch This is a beautiful 5-part relish tray made by the tiffin glass company. It is etched with the rarely seen queen astrid etch, produced from 1927 to 1940. This etch flows gracefully throughout the tray. The tray measures 12.5" long and 9.75" wide. The tray has no chips, flakes, or flea bites and the glass is very clear. There is one manufacturer's imperfection: on the underside of one handle is a flattened area that is very smooth. It is shown on the enlargement picture on the left hand side of the photo. What appears to be a line on the handle (looks like a crack but isn't) is the edge of the flattened area. Being that it is on the underside and is perfectly smooth it is not noticeable at all, its just a manufacturing imperfection. Very unique in design, it features a wide, flat rim and a gadroon type edging around the inner rim.A delicate topaz yellow in color, the piece also showcases a wild rose style etching on the flat rim which has yet to be identified. The size is very generous, measuring 12" in diameter and 3 1/2" in height at the outer rim. There is one very small spot on the rim edge, maybe an 1/8", that appears to have had a bubble pop and caused that area to be a tad rough, but other than that, the bowl is great.
