We can't find any maker marks but the piece is very well executed. Total height of 15 3/4". Superb detailing throughout, flowing dress, rose petals, facial features- just very well done. There is a small nic on the front of her hair and her left big toe is missing the tip, otherwise good condition. The piece is cold to the touch and heavy. The bottom of the base is wood.

Violet, blue, gold and rusty brown are the coloring. The floral scene is on one side only. The bottom and top bands are a deep teal color. The small area of discoloration you see on the back has been washed off.

There is a small water stain on the matte below th signature.

This is in blue, though it also came in black. Measures 18"x 14". The mark on the back dates it 1840-1860. No chips or cracks. There is significant crazing throughout and the back shows discoloration. The front has transfer loss where the base comes up and meets the rim (a single line around the platter as shown). Overall good condition for 160 years old. Displays quite well and is still quite usable.

Marked on the bottom with b&h. Bradley and hubbard formed in ct in 1852 and officially became known as bradley & hubbard in 1854 and stayed in business until 1940 when it was sold to the parker co. This inkwell stands about 4 3/4" to the top of the antlers and is 9" in length at the feet. A fine depiction of a stag leaping over a fence being chased by hounds. Structurally in very good condition, but it has rusting and is in need of a good polish or refinish. Not sure the glass is original and no lids for the glass. We are pricing this moderately in consideration of the rusting.

The finials are pretty much the same. The difference is where the handle meets the pot. Both open/close well for the age. The wood shows paint loss.

A beautiful pattern of white figures in relief of a blue body. There are hounds on one side and horsemen on the other. All 3 pieces marked on the bottom. The creamer stands 2", the sugar is 2 1/2", and the pot is 4 1/4" w/o lid. The lid for the tea pot has been damaged and repaired but as you can see is still quite usable and looks good with normal viewing. When the lid is removed and turned over you can see the damage. The rest of the set is in very good condition. Year unknown.

The piece measures 3 3/4"x 5 1/4" and with the handsome old frame it measures 11 1/2"x 10". Light discoloring and it is lifting a little on the corners where its attached to the red matte. Unusual piece, collectable for its religious nature. The frame is quite attractive, there is a small chip right side.

Louis Apol C. 1895 Oil On Board Dutch Artist Snowscene http://www.antiques.com/classified/1080172/Antique-Louis-Apol-C--1895-Oil-on-Board-Dutch-Artist-Snowscene A superbly executed oil on board by well known dutch artist louis apol (1850-1936). He was a pupil of johannes franciscus hoppenbrouwers (1819â66) and pieter stortenbeker (1828â98) and studied at the koninklijke academie van beeldende kunsten in the hague. His first exhibited work, in 1869, was a summer landscape, but he made his name with a january evening in the hague woods (c . 1875; amsterdam, rijksmus.). He specialized in winter landscapes; his works became extremely popular in the last quarter of the 19th century. This painting comes in what appears to be the original period frame which measures approx. 18" x 15". The frame has some damage as shown but works quite well with the painting. The painting itself is in very good condition and signed lower right.

Van briggle pottery was established in colorado in 1901. We believe this piece is the 1940's era mark. The bowl stands 3" high and is 6" at its widest. No chips or cracks or repairs. There are stray darker marks, possibly firing flaws? Mulberry tends to be more desirable than the blue.

There is toe (boot) damage on the left foot of one figure, partially broken off which i hadn't even noticed until now. Each stick weighs 2 1/2 lbs.

Incised marked m zunder & sons new haven ct this jug cannot be sold and on the bottom the crest logo. Maier zunder was born in fuerth, bavaria, germany, 1829. He immigrated in 1848, first to new york, and to new haven in 1852 after his brother samuel died. Samuel owned a grocery store on church st. When samuel died, his widow, regina, asked maier to come to help run the business. Maier and regina soon married. The store became a wholesale house under the name, m. Zunder & sons and distributed groceries, tobacco products, and wines. He also served a booking agent for the north german lloyd steamship lines. The jug stands a little under 14". There is discoloration as shown and a very old rim chip also as shown. There is a cork still in place inside the jug. The handle has a hairline.

He is without doubt one of americas finest artists. This piece measures 18 1/2"x 13" including the frame. The matte is new and the glass is tru vue. The frame has a chip upper left and lower right. The painting itself is overall quite nice, with a minor area of bleed? Upper right but not really noticable. A typical richards painting, vivid details on a rocky shore and pounding surf.

There is surface wear from use and the "glaze or lustre" of the flow blue has faded. The main scene of 2 men fishing in an asian pond.
