Circa 1840 chinese export weighted dinner bell which also might have been used to call servants. This probably was made by a collector. We feel the rose medallion item was probably a demitasse cup. Added was a fitted bronze piece on the bottom and also on the top by the previous owner. Attached to the loop on the bronze is a piece of fabric with a oriental scene/motif. We recently purchased a collection of rose medallion, rose canton and rose mandarin from a philadelphia estate and this is is one of many items from this collection that we will be offering for sale. All of these items are original, described as is and fresh merchandise, first time offered for sale

Circa 1840 chinese export rose canton vases measuring 4 1/4" in height. Beautiful unusual pair of famille rose vases fresh out of a philadelphia estate filled with rose medallion. We will be putting these items on our web site for the next 10 days and offering for sale. These vases are absolutely beautiful and very good quality. They are a exact identical pair measuring 4 1/4" in height. The decoration on both are exactly identical. 0ne panel on each has a bird and a beetle with the opposite side having a butterfly and a bird with a beautiful pink rose. In between these two panels is greenery with gold underneath. No damage or restoration. To top it off the previous owner has put two stoppers in the top opening with the beautiful colors of pink, green and turquoise with the tops a gilded gold. One stopper is a little taller than the other but who can complain with such beauty. "very unusual and one of a kind

Circa 1840 chinese export rose canton brush box measuring 3 5/8" in height and top square opening is 1 3/4" square. This wonderful quality box is fresh out of a main line philadelphia estate. I have seen brush boxes that are rectangular shaped with a place for a comb and brush. But i believe this piece was made for paint brushes. The quality is just wonderful. Each side is decorated roses and greenery. In addition to the roses, one side has a beetle, side #2 has a beautiful bird with a long tail, side #3 has butterflies and the last side has another bird with a longer tail, a bumble bee or wasp and another beetle. Each side measures 1 3/4" in diameter. This is the first time i have seen this form, and it is absolutely exquisite. This open box is in perfect condition and the quality is the best.

As shown in schiffer book on chinese export porcelain, page 115, #319. It is simply amazing that the snuffer has survived all these years. Very rarely do you find one with original snuffer. Recently purchased out of a rose medallion collection in philadelphia, main line area. We actually have a showcase in the antique center in wayne, pa. On route 30 old lancaster avenue.

We have researched him on the internet and have found several examples of his work. He also was known for portraits, but his best works in my opinion were his nautical sunsets. Late 19th century limoge jardiniere with matching base and stand. This is definetly one of the limoge factories that had made these flower pots with a stand in the latter part of the 19th century. There were many of these companies in france, known in limoge with haviland being the front runner and a name everyone can probably compare with. Sets of dinner china with many serving pieces are the most well known product that was specially made for department stores all over the world. This is a rare pedestal with original base that fits on top of the stand and a jardineer sits on the base. These three parts are all in good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Only gilding losses from being handled so many times over the years. The stand measures 18" in height and with middle piece and the jardineer the entire height is 29" in total height. Perfect for orchids, plants for all seasons.
