Victorian, date cipher for 1885 Minton Majolica turquoise oyster plate with a central well surrounded by small ochre flowers. Six small and one large shell shaped well around the rim. Cobalt stipple ground with scalloped rim to separate the wells. Green reverse. Three stilt marks inside the foot along with impressed maker''s marks including ''MINTON'', ''2239'' and date cipher for 1885. Generally good. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Kiln effect: slightly stained crazing to the flowers. Three repaired rim cracks. 10ins diameter
