Victorian, date cipher for 1872 Wedgwood Majolica plate with brown reticulated basketweave rim around green vine leaves and grapes. Cream ground with four green leaves and grapes on circular ochre fluted motif in the center. Cream reverse with impressed maker''s marks ''WEDGWOOD'' and date cipher ''ZHA'' for 1872 inside the foot. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Slight wear to the rim. Kiln effect: slight staining to the cream ground. 9ins diameter
