In excellent condition. Our bronze dou or pedestal form vessel was used on late Qing alters for various ritual purposes. In excellent condition, this vessel is in a some what archaic style, yet retains a pleasent symmetry and form. The elaborate relief decoration and detail on the body, pedestal and foot is a stylistic reprise of an earlier time. Note the guild or foundry markings on the rim.
