A type of dagger used in Persia and Northern India, intended to force an opening in chain mail and armor. With a sturdy and well crafted blade with a T back for re enforcement. Wide at the hilt and tapering to a fine point. With a bone hilt adorned with and incised geometric band. The blade has been cleaned and kept sharp by its former owner causing what was probably a corresponding geometric band at the ricasso to be well worn, No rust or damage. Late 19th to early 20th C. Length 13.6", blade 9".
