A truly exceptional example of the finely penciled Worcester Boy on a Buffalo pattern tea bowl and saucer C 1754. The artist has paid a great deal of attention to the detail on this example compared to any others i have seen, to the extent of carrying the branches of the trees over the rim to the inside of the bowl and to balance the interior design added a bird in flight. I have seen only one other example where this has been carried out on a coffee cup. If you can examine other examples and look in detail at the various components that make up the design you will see how much care has been taken with this set. In the base of the bowl there is a flower.

The condition is perfect, no chips cracks or restoration. There is a workmans mark to the base of the saucer, the bowl is unmarked. Saucer measures 12.2cms. Tea bowl measures 8cms.
