An interesting Calligraphic Panel dated 1888 AD scribed in Nasta'aliq script in Urdu.These couplets were written by Hafiz Altaf Hussain,A Tehsildar of Banaras,during the reign British India.
W.R.Partridge,Saheb Bahadur,Civil Service married Shering Anne in Banaras and befitting to the occasion Hafiz Altaf Hussain wrote a poem congratulating the newly wed couple.The striking note is that the word ALTAF used in the poem when added up with the assigned figure in numerology results into 1888,the year of the wedding.
