This is a fantastic antique four-light lantern, dating from the 1890’s, originally a gas light and now wired for electricity. The chandelier begins with a canopy overlaid with leaves, coming down in a pole to the lantern. The lantern is ornamented with wrought iron scrolls and has small vents in the four-sided roof. The sides of the lantern retain their original beveled glass, with a hinged door on one side. This light fixture is in excellent condition. The glass in good antique condition with some fleabites around the edges and a chip on the lantern door (pictured). The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18” wide diagonally and 31 ½” long overall.
