Beautifully shaped liquor decantor with original stopper.
In 1935 a federal law went into effect that alcoholic bottles must be embossed with the statement
" Federal Law Forbids Sale Or Reuse Of This Bottle"
This law was repealed December 1, 1964.
The law was meant to keep bootleggers from refilling legitimate bottles with illegal or bootleged liquor.
This decantor is in beautiful condition, one point of spout has a very very small roughness at the round point of one of the 3 lips, it is not a chip and is not visible or noticeable unless you feel of it with finger tip.
