Here is a very rare and exciting German glass beaker dating to the mid 18th century. It is beautifully and deeply engraves with 2 men in military dress, on horseback, one chasing the other and both firing flint-lock pistols at each other!!! The engraving is spectacular! The reverse has a tent, cannons, cannon balls, mortars, muskets, pole arms, a large drum, flags, etc. This beautiful work of art is about 5” tall x 4 ¼” wide. Base has ground pontil scar and tons of wear. Overall use wear and some very mild oxidation. Perfect example!!!
